What’s more significant than a milestone?

Tonight, the boy who once was the final baby spends his last night as a child in this house.

The nest is broken open, and all the fledglings flown.

The last child.  The last night.

Tomorrow everything becomes new.  And old.

How odd life is.  And how strange the nature of blessing.
